19 Years Now...

Hello everyone, today is March 26th and also my birthday! (as well as Keira Knightley's and Tennessee Williams, I'm proud to say.. not that it really means anything!) I'm 19 years old now, which isn't a particularly "important" birthday, but still... I have many blog posts coming up, but I thought I would leave today's post fairly short and show you all what I'm looking forward too for this next week. (Since I am now on spring break... today is the first day of relaxation!)

1. Watching Wes Anderson Films.

is pretty much the cutest thing ever.

 My junior year of high school we had to do a movie project for my English class. Each group had to pick a director and view his works, figuring out his style and consistent elements he/she used in their movies. I'm so glad my group picked Wes Anderson, because his movies are truly original, clever and funny in a dark sort of way. The quick cuts, quirky characters and use of panning and slow motion is just brilliant. And he always uses the same actors/actresses in his movies, which I think is really interesting: Jason Schwartman, the Wilson brothers, Bill Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow, etc.

2. Listening to The Strokes new album.

I've been a fan of The Strokes ever since they came out with Reptilia, but now I think I'm in love with them again. They just embody the word cool, and I think they have worked hard to earn it! I found out about their new album when the played Under Cover of Darkness on SNL... watch their music video here. They have a great guitar-searing sound in it that I love.

3. Eat Cake!

Don't worry, I won't act like Marie Antoinette today... well, we will see.. ;)

I'm hoping it's red velvet! I guess I'll find out tonight... have a great day!
