Living in the Midwest, it is very hard to get any dose of fashion. However, all of this changed for a night when my friend Katie, who runs her own fashion blog here, put together a fashion show with Her Campus, an online magazine for college girls. It was sponsored by Rent the Runway, a business where you can rent designer dresses-- and these dresses were what the models rocked down the runway.
It was the cutest little show, and I went to the one last year as well-- everyone puts on their finest and pretends (or at least I do) that we're in New York or London, watching a real big-city, real world fashion show. It was put on by a local art gallery (a REALLY cool venue), and there were even goodie bags! My friend Shelby and I joked around that we were going to be seeing each other again at big, designer fashion shows in the future since we are both going into the magazine industry. And I can't wait for that day to come!

| Me and my friend Torie. I might have been a tad underdressed for the occasion... |

| Me with friends! Taylor, Katie, Shelby and Noelle. Aren't they gorgeous? |

Another staple I recently bought besides my Keds: the trench coat! I'll probably do a post on it later. It was a little expensive, but I justified it by thinking it will be perfect for London when I go next year! |
Excuse my Instagram photos, it was the only way to make the iPhone pictures look decent!
Anyway, I had a great time indulging in a little fashion and girls night out.
