Hello all! As you can see, I've given Eloise a bit of a face lift. After more than a year since starting this blog I thought it was about time. I hope you like it-- I wanted to make it much more simplified and clean while still having visual impact. If you're wondering about what the umbrella is all about, I'll explain. If I had to pick one object that I thought completely defined me I would pick a classic, black umbrella. It's an essential for combatting British weather, while still exuding a timelessness and connection to the past, along with an ever-present sense of adventure. At least that's what an umbrella does for me. So all in all, it encompasses my anglophilia, love for the past and my sense of wanderlust.
The umbrella has also become my own personal branding logo, you know, for my portfolio website and resume. Once I get that site up (hopefully before the end of the summer!) It will be linked in my "Connect With Me" page.
Anyway, on with the post. About 3 months ago my extremely talented photographer friend, Anna Petrow, took some fashion photography shots of me for an internship she was applying for. I was very honored to be asked, and of course, she did an amazing job. These are much better than my usual shoddy iPhone shots, no?
There are plenty more than these, and hopefully I can get them from Anna once classes start up again. It's a very weird feeling seeing me in photos like these, but the shoot was so fun. Pretending I'm a model for a couple hours isn't so bad! Until it's back to the real world which isn't ever in black and white and doesn't have the perfect amount of light hitting your face at all times. Oh well, it's fun while it lasts. x
