LONDON 2013 -- MEET THE CREW

Let me tell you why I haven't blogged in what seems like years. I have no life! It's been none stop classes, work, meetings and other boring things. Then, I've been getting my stuff together for my trip to London! Guys, I'm leaving so soon. January 8th I'll be departing from Kansas City >> Atlanta >> London. Literally, one of my biggest life dreams is about to come true. I can't believe it's happening to me. Don't worry, when I get there I'll be blogging. I'll be too excited not to! Plus, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a very nice DSLR Nikon camera for Christmas... which means pretty pictures for you all.

Above is a photo of the poster hanging above my bed. It has to be the best quote, uttered by Samuel Johnson. He understands me.

So, in case you were wondering what in the world I was doing these past few months, here are just a couple shots.

My bedroom this semester. Notice my (now old) Keep Calm poster, Urban Outfitters duvet,
London pillow, wall of Madewell images and my inspiration board. Good ambience lighting is always a good idea.

My hair and lovely thrift store polka dot dress for an event. I love going 60s.

Now, since I'll soon be blogging from the best city in the world, let me introduce you to the crew who will be joining me on this amazing experience. They're my three best friends. I'll hopefully be able to upload some video diaries featuring them, outfit photos of each of our individual styles, and some beautiful shots of the city. We'll each have our own journalism internship and be taking classes together.

KERRIGAN
First is Kerrigan. She's been my roommate for the past two semesters and has become my very best friend. She's an amazing person and has a very classic sense of style. She's in visual advertising and is totally going to save the world one day. She's all about social change. She's the one in the group who will make sure we all don't get mugged, get lost, or, you know, die.

SHELBY
Shelby is always the life of the party. She's in magazine writing, and makes me laugh no matter what we are talking about. She's a little spacey and absolutely lives in her own world, but that's what I love about her. No matter what time of day or night, if I ask if she wants to go to a party or go shopping, she's up for it. If there is one thing this girl has taught me, it's to just relax and go with the flow!
 SIERRA
And lastly is Sierra. What's interesting is that Sierra and I are incredibly different-- totally different styles, different taste in boys, different backgrounds, but we get on so well together. She's totally type-A and will have our trips organized and mapped out to the finest detail. She's the go-to girl for hours of girl talk and advice. This one's in fashion public relations.

Then there is me. The London-obsessed girl doing magazine design. It's going to be an adventure. Won't you join me on it? A little over a month to go!
